Herky has been the beloved mascot of the Iowa Hawkeyes since his first appearance in 1959. Unfortunately, both the on-field costume and the mascot graphics had been looking a bit “dated” for some time. The university gave us the charge to update both representations of their famous character. Our new costume design makes use of the most current mascot technology, reducing weight and heat while increasing mobility and vision (all while maintaining the traditional image for Herky). Rickabaugh Graphics then crafted a complete set of mascot and kids club graphics to match Herky’s new look.
