There is a very good reason that the word “Atlantic” is in the middle of FAU’s institutional name. The main campus is located in beautiful Boca Raton and it is just minutes from the Atlantic coast. We knew that the new Florida Atlantic institutional brand had to feature this wonderful location. With a stylized wave added to the “A” we were able to symbolize not only FAU’s Boca home but also the energy and the inspiration that both the ocean and Florida Atlantic University have in common. A powerful new athletic brand for the FAU teams (featuring a tough and determined Owl) completed the school’s image.
