The team brands in Minor League Baseball are full of silly and outlandish logos (think Rubber Ducks, Rumble Ponies, Fire Frogs and Baby Cakes). So when we were asked to brand the new West Virginia Black Bears we decided to do a little "counter-programming" in order to stand out from the crowd. We went for a classic baseball brand with a script wordmark and a tough, dignified black bear. Our bountiful set of secondary designs fills out the brand palette for the Black Bears that won the New York - Penn League championship in their inaugural season.
